Good business starts with respect.

1. No abuse or profanity

No swearing, abusive names, insults, threats, harassment, bullying, hate speech, sexual harassment or attacks on a person or group. Disagree respectfully. Do not publish humiliating images or private information to target someone.

2. Describe what you are offering honestly

Use accurate photos, prices, locations and descriptions. Sell only goods you own or have permission to sell. Clearly label products as in stock in Ghana, pre-order or sourcing services. Explain minimum order quantities, expected delivery and additional fees. Do not impersonate another business or claim verification you have not received.

3. Keep prohibited content off the marketplace

No scams, stolen or counterfeit goods, weapons, illegal drugs, sexual services, prescription medicines, fraudulent investment schemes, discriminatory job or property ads, or unsupported medical claims. No spam, duplicate listings or misleading job application fees.

4. Protect people's privacy

Post contact details and photos only with the appropriate permission. Do not share identity documents, passwords, mobile money PINs, private messages, children's personal details or another person's home address. Use a general neighbourhood for your location.

5. Every seller and listing is reviewed

Create an account, verify your email and agree to these rules. Business profiles are optional for ordinary ads. Profiles and listings must pass checks before appearing publicly. When automatic checks are enabled, eligible content with no detected issues may publish automatically. Potential issues are held for human review. Edits trigger new checks.

A Benguy Travels badge confirms community affiliation checked by the administrator. It does not guarantee a person's identity, product quality, delivery or payment. Never use the badge to imply an endorsement that was not given.

6. Reports, warnings and suspension

Use “Report this listing” for suspected scams, abuse or misleading content. Give a clear, factual reason. Do not submit malicious or retaliatory reports. Administrators may request corrections, issue warnings, reject or remove content, or suspend an account depending on the issue. Serious abuse or suspected fraud may lead to immediate suspension.

Automated checks use selected text patterns, account eligibility, photo-file integrity and community reports. They cannot reliably interpret images, disguised language, local languages or every scam. Publication is not a guarantee of safety. Report concerns so a moderator can investigate.

7. Correcting a problem

Check your business profile and My listings for review feedback. Correct the issue and resubmit for review. Suspended accounts must be restored by the administrator before they can be reviewed again. Moderation actions and reasons are recorded in the administrator history.

8. Trade carefully

Inspect goods before paying, meet in public and check a seller's authority to offer property or services. Never give out a one-time code or mobile money PIN. FareNow Online does not hold buyer money, provide escrow or guarantee transactions. Basic account creation and listings are free.

9. Free business directory

Saving a business profile through the updated profile form automatically creates a free directory entry after email verification and checks. The business name, products and services, location, service coverage and business phone are public. Your account login email is not published. Owners can correct their profile or hide their directory entry at any time. Personal accounts and personal ads do not automatically become business directory entries. Optional business mini-pages cost GH₵50 per year.

The directory is for finding and contacting individual businesses. Bulk scraping, harvesting contact details, downloading or exporting the directory, and republishing it without permission are not permitted. Automated access may be rate-limited. Public details can still be viewed and copied; no technical measure can prevent all copying.
